What an event
actually looks like.

The facility is blocked off for you

Every team package is a private event. No other groups in the arena and no queueing behind another booking. For the length of your booking the place is yours.

A host runs the session

A dedicated game host gears everyone up, explains the games, runs the rounds and manages the clock. Nobody from your team has to be the organiser.

Unlimited gaming means you choose as you go

Within your gaming hours the team can switch titles freely. Start with a co-operative escape room where nobody can win alone, then move to team-vs-team rounds once people are warmed up and competitive. The host will suggest an order based on how your group is behaving — quiet teams and loud teams need different openers.

Why it works as team building

The games are built so that communication is the mechanic, not a side effect. An escape room only opens if people describe what they can each see; a survival mission collapses if nobody splits roles. That’s the same skill every offsite claims to develop, except here it’s the actual win condition.

Food, downtime and the debrief

Your booking runs longer than gaming time by design — that’s where the event actually becomes a team thing. Platinum includes 4 large pizzas and Diamond 5, both with unlimited pop, and every package lets you bring your own catering for dietary needs or a specific vendor.

Bigger teams and rotations

Twelve people play at once. Larger groups rotate — some play while the rest eat and watch on the spectator screen. The host runs the rotation. For groups larger than 20, ask us and we’ll quote a custom event.

What the team actually plays

Most team sessions run co-op VR action games, where the group has to call things out to survive, or a VR escape room, where they have to agree on an answer under time pressure. Your game master picks once they have met the group. Booking something less formal? See birthday parties, or hand over a gift card and let them choose.

Weekdays and logistics

Weekday afternoons and evenings are our quietest and easiest to book, and Monday to Thursday is 10% off. Brampton opens at 3 pm on weekdays and Oakville at 5 pm.

Event questions,
answered.

Where can I run a team building event near Oakville, Brampton or Mississauga?

VR Vibe hosts team events at two arenas: 2304 Lakeshore Rd W in Oakville and 200 Walker Drive in Brampton. Teams come to us from Mississauga, Burlington, Milton, Etobicoke, Vaughan and across the west GTA — both arenas have free on-site parking, and the Brampton location sits minutes off Highway 407 and Queen Street East, which makes it an easy after-work meeting point.

Does VR team building actually work, or is it just gaming?

The games are co-operative by design: an escape room only opens if people share what they can each see, and a survival mission collapses without communication and role-splitting. Communication isn’t a side effect of the activity — it’s the win condition.

How big a group can you take?

Six people play in the same game at a time, and larger groups rotate through sessions — half plays while half eats and debriefs, then they swap. Our packages go up to 20 people. If your team is bigger than that, tell us your headcount and we’ll quote a custom event.

Can we do this on a weekday afternoon?

Yes — weekday afternoons are our quietest hours and the easiest slots to book, which is exactly when most work events want to run. Brampton opens at 3 pm on weekdays and Oakville at 5 pm, and takeover bookings outside regular hours can be arranged for larger groups.

What about colleagues who've never touched a video game?

They’re usually the story of the night. No experience is needed — there are no button combos to learn, because your body is the controller: walk, look, reach, talk. The game master gears everyone up and stays with the group, and the family-friendly missions make a perfect first round before the team votes on something scarier.

Can we get an invoice / bill the company?

Yes. Corporate invoicing is standard for team bookings — tell us when you inquire and we’ll set it up. Deposits, headcount changes and rescheduling are handled directly by our team.

What kinds of groups book team events?

Office teams and startups from Oakville, Mississauga and Brampton make up most of it — holiday parties, quarter-end celebrations, onboarding weeks. But we also host sports teams, university clubs, bachelor and bachelorette groups, and youth groups. If it’s a group that wants to do something together instead of just eating near each other, it fits.
